Collin was so excited and so ready to start Kindergarten. His birthday is in September and he just misses the deadline so alot of his friends from Primary and his cousin Kody got to go last year. He was so sad he didn't get to go and has been looking forward to this year. I however, was not so ready. It was hard for me to let him go and know he would not be under my care all the time. He just seemed too little to be going off to school. I held it together pretty good and only teared up a few times. The morning of the first day he woke me up at 7am all dressed, and ready to go. He had even showered and I didn't even hear him (I am such a good mom).
He wanted waffles for breakfast. And no they are not Eggos.
So excited
In front of our brand new school. We are so lucky and it is close to our house.
Waiting in line with his class to go inside. We got there early and he
only asked me about 100 times when we could go in to his class.
The sign by his classroom
(Apparently I didn't get any pictures with his eyes open that day)
Sitting on his star
Watiting for everyone to get there
He looked so big I couldn't believe it.
After school I missed him coming out (I wanted a pic coming out the doors)
because of course I was yackin' with another mom.
I felt so bad, but he was happy and had a great first day.
Eating his warm cookie I had ready for him. (Ok, so maybe I redeemed myself).
After a month he still loves school! He usually wakes me up before my alarm goes off and gets all dressed and ready. He is excited when I pick him up and he is sad on the days he doesn't have school. I hope he keeps this up. He is such a good boy at school and is so smart. I am so proud of what a sweet, responsible boy he has become. I just love this kid!
