10 Year Reunion

Saturday night my friends from High School got together to have our own little reunion since our class did not have one. We went to dinner and then went to Em's house to hang out and chat. We had so much fun reminiscing about the good ole' days and catching up on the last 10 years. We laughed until almost 4 in the morning. I haven't done that since we were all together in High School and I am definetly feeling it today. It was worth it though, I had a blast! Thanks girls, we need to do it again!
All of us at dinner after we had eaten a total of about 50 pounds of Chinese food. The people working at the restaurant were totally annoyed because they were trying to close and we were not leaving. They were practically shooing us out the door but Brooke was brave enough to still ask them to snap some pics for us.

I didn't get a pic of Kelli and Em D. for some reason. Sorry guys!

Laugh until you cry

This last weekend at my mom's Kim had Macie laughing harder than I have ever seen her laugh before. At one point I thought she was crying...she wasn't. It was so funny! See for yourself (sorry it's kind of long).

Magic at Grandma's House

It seems like all all of the grandkids in our family have reached at least one of their baby milestones at my mom's house. I remember Brixton laughing for the first time, Collin sitting up alone for the first time, and Brynlie having many of her "firsts" at grandma's house. This past weekend we went down to my moms to paint and there Macie starting crawling for the first time. She has been scooting around for several months now but has not actually crawled on her hands and knees. She is still a little slow but I'm sure that won't last for long.

I don't know what it is about my mom's house. Maybe the grandkids just want to "show off" for grandma because they all adore her so much! Or maybe because she is so encouraging to them. My mom is always helping the kids learn new things even when they are just little babies. Things like "practice" (holding their head up as she pulls them up off the ground), and "speardy-doo" (using a fork to feed themselves). My mom is the best grandma in the world and she always makes sure that her grandkids know how much she loves them in her actions and her words. It's the same the other way around too. The kids all LOVE Grandma Chrissy! Collin begs to go to her house every week. I think the thing that is magicical about grandma's house is... GRANDMA!

Monster Baby!

Within just a matter of days, Macie has turned into trouble. One of her new favorite thing to do is scoot down to her room, pull all the toys of her toy baskets and spread them all around the room. And here...she is sitting in the toy basket. The look on her face says, "this is my room, I can't do what I want in it, and don't you dare try to stop me".
Nap time, has now become, stand up and bounce time. She can be in her crib for like and hour and I will go in to check on her and she will still be standing up bouncing and playing.

And finally, she will scoot any distance (near or far) to get the cordless phone. So last Sunday, she and I stayed home from church because we have both been sick. Grant took Collin and went to church at 1:00. At 1:30 the phone rings and it's Grant wanting to know if everything is OK. I tell him yes, why? And he says, "the bishop just came down off the stand and brought me out in the foyer. He was worried something was wrong at home because you keep calling his cell phone. Yep, that would be my darling baby girl! Doesn't she look like a monster to you?
