Christmas Reminder

I have been so worried about getting my shopping done. It has been consuming my every thought for the last week. I still haven't done my baking for neighbors and have yet to buy stocking stuffers. I haven't bought wrapping paper or bows and am beginning to think there is no way I will be ready for Christmas in three days. Like every mom, I want Christmas morning to be perfect and magical for my kids as they are opening their presents and finding treasures from Santa. However, I just saw this on my friend Lindsey's blog and for just a few minutes...remembered that none of it really matters in the grand scheme of things. I am so grateful for little reminders like this gave me to slow down and remember what Christmas is all about.

The rest of the story

So here I am finally getting around to posting the rest of our Oregon trip. I should have probably just bagged it all together but we had such a great time that I don't want to forget it. And since I don't scrapbook these days, this will likely be my only way of documenting the pictures. The rest of the pics are just random times from our trip when I remembered to take my camera along...mostly the beach.

A little crab that ran down in between these rocks when I tried to take it's picture.
Mark, Nicki, and Lou going for a stroll on the beach.
Mom and the kids hanging out on the hill behind the house.
James drying off after trying to surf in the freezing water.
Crater Lake. We stopped there on our way home but the kids were all so dang cranky we only stayed for a few minutes.

Whenever Lou rode in our car she would take Macie's binky. Nicki would get so mad because I would let her have it. One day she fell asleep with it in her mouth. Yeah, I got in BIG trouble!
The kids playing in the sand in the backyard. If they weren't at the beach digging they were digging in the yard which is basically a giant sand box.
My buddy Lou.
Macie LOVED the beach and was happy as a clam as long as she could be in the water or the sand.

This is how she acted every time we left the beach.
She Loved having help walking around on the beach because she wasn't walking at the time.
We found all these cool anemones on some big rocks at low tide.
The red starfish we found.
The orange starfish we found.
A tide pool on the big rocks. If you looked close you could see tiny fish and creatures in it.
My roomie "B" and Miss Macie
Macie loved the sand so much she even ate it.
Me and my cute kiddos.
The kids digging...again.
Best Buds!
It was so sad that Grant wasn't there with us.
Mark and the kids playing in the water.

Relaxing at the beach house.
Cute Lou!
Overall the trip was a blast and I am so glad that we got to go. We made so many fun memories that I will always remember and cherish.
